Firemen will arrive in motorcycle

May 24, 2017 by Staff News Writer

Fire Department

Due to the constant traffic jams that affect the country, the Fire Department made a quick decision.
On Tuesday, the institution received four motorcycles exclusively designed for fire extinguishing.

These units will come into operation in August, after the training processes of eight firefighters and everything related to procedures for inscription and assurance of the units.

The Fire Department acquired this equipment as a measure to deal with the great traffic congestion that prevents them from taking care of emergencies.

The four motorcycles will provide their services in the Metropolitan Area. The training will be provided by Dutch experts.

The characteristics of the bikes are:
2017 Model
BMW Brand
1200 cubic centimeters
50 liters of water or a mixture of water and foam
30 meters of hose
22 liters at 300 psi for a continuous discharge of 2.30 minutes
Specially designed frame
2 electrical systems (emergency and motor systems)
High-power brakes (double disc)
