Authorities still vigilant over landslide near Virilla River

September 3, 2017 by Staff News Writer

The National Emergency Commission (CNE) conducted a tour over the Virilla River on Sunday morning to analyze the landslide that occurred on Friday, near the Alfredo Gonzalez Flores Bridge.

Blas Sánchez, a geologist of the entity, explained that the terrain remains unstable and that the normal erosion process is taking place.

According to Sánchez, in case of rains, the material is likely to fall, but it would fall on the deposit that is in the bottom of the river.
