Another passenger tried to board a plane with a gun

November 16, 2017 by Staff News Writer

Airport authorities seized a weapon from a passenger on Wednesday afternoon at Juan Santamaría International Airport.

The subject is an American citizen who was going to Panama, with unregistered gun and ammunition.

According to the Ministry of Public Security,

he arrived and reported it to the airline, then the airline called us to verify the weapon, but the subject did not have papers or permits. Therefore, this is seen as the crime of illegally carrying a permitted weapon and it’s been processed through the Office of the Prosecutor.”
