These are the new ministers and deputy ministers

After being sworn in by the President of the Legislative Assembly, Carlos Alvarado will have the responsibility of swearing in the cabinet that will accompany him in the next four years.

Alvarado announced his government team at different times. On April 26th, he appointed the ministers and some executive presidents.

On May 4th, he made the announcement of some chief executives, and on May 7th, through a press release he announced the names of the deputy ministers, which were chosen by the President and the minister in charge in the previous administration.

These are the people that will direct the ministries in the Alvarado Quesada administration during 2018-2022:

Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAG), Minister Renato Alvarado, Administrative Deputy Minister Ana Cristina Quirós Soto, Technical Deputy Minister Bernardo Jaén Hernández.

Ministry of Science, Technology and Telecommunications (MICITT), Minister Luis Adrián Salazar, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Paola Vega Castillo, Deputy Minister of Telecommunications Edwin Estrada Hernández.

Ministry of Foreign Trade (COMEX), Minister Dyalá Jiménez, Deputy Minister Duayner Salas Chaverrí.

Ministry of Culture and Youth, Minister Sylvie Durán, Deputy Minister of Culture Max Valverde Soto, Deputy Minister of Youth Margareth Solano Sánchez, Administrative Deputy Minister: Dennis Portugués Cascante.

Ministry of Economy, Industry and Commerce (MEIC), Minister Victoria Hernández, Administrative Deputy Minister Carlos Roberto Mora Gómez, Administrative Vice Minister Laura Pacheco Ovares.

Ministry of Education (MEP), Minister Edgar Mora, Academic Deputy Minister Giselle Cruz Maduro, Deputy Minister of Planning Amparo Pacheco Oreamuno, Administrative Deputy Minister: Rosa Adolio.

Ministry of Security, Minister Michael Soto, Director of the Public Force, Luis Carlos Castillo Fernández, Deputy Minister of Prevention Eduardo Solano Solano, Deputy Minister of the Interior Víctor Manuel Barrantes.

Treasury, Minister Rocío Aguilar, Deputy Minister of Expenditures Rodolfo Cordero Vargas, Deputy Minister of Revenue Nogui Acosta Jaén.

Ministry of Justice and Peace, Minister Marcia González, Deputy Minister of Penitentiaries Ada Isabel Porras Porras, Deputy Minister of Strategic Management and Senior Official Fabián Solano Fernández. Deputy Minister of Peace Jairo Vargas Agüero

Ministry of Environment and Energy (MINAE), Minister Carlos Manuel Rodríguez, Deputy Minister of the Environment María Castillo Barahona, Deputy Minister of Energy Rolando Castro Córdoba, Deputy Minister of Hydric Resources Haydée Rodríguez Romero, Deputy Minister of Strategic Management María Celeste López Quirós (this vice ministry is new).

Ministry of the Presidency, Minister Rodolfo Pìza, Parliamentary Deputy Minister Agustín Castro Solano, Deputy Minister of Dialogue Nancy Marín Espinoza.
