July 25, 2018 by Staff News Writer

A group of people with banners demonstrated near Matra in Guápiles, and they blocked route 32 on Wednesday morning with the objective of asking for support for the construction of the route that joins Guápiles and Cartago.

According to Traffic Police of the area, about 50 neighbors from the area requested the construction of the Pococí-Oreamuno alternate route. The protesters started the activity at 10:20 a.m.

In these cases, the vehicles that go from San José to Limón can go down by Toro Amarillo river, arrive to downtown Guápiles and leave via Santa Clara. The same for those who come from Limón to San José, they go down Santa Clara, they arrive at Guápiles, and they go to route 32.
