PROCOMER opens office in Qatar

PROCOMER (Promotora del Comercio Exterior de Costa Rica) officially opened its first commercial promotion office in Doha, Qatar.

With this new commercial branch in the Middle East, the intention is to broaden the opportunities for domestic exporters and to expand the exporting horizons for Costa Rica.

We are doubling our efforts to promote business opportunities with processed foods, plants, flowers, among others”,

said Alexander Mora, Minister of Foreign Trade.

With the opening of this office, a new alliance was set with its counterpart in Qatar, Tasdeer, with the aim of exchanging good practices, constantly innovate and take the promoter towards a greater international competitiveness.

Qatar is a country with high purchasing power. In 2015, Costa Rica exported $ 220,000 –mostly in ornamental plants- to Qatar.
