September 24, 2018 by Staff News Writer

A Guatemalan man will spend eight years in prison for the crime of international drug transport, according to the Criminal Court of Liberia.

The subject surnamed Barrios was arrested in February 2018 when he was driving a van and intended to cross the northern border crossing in Peñas Blancas.

Apparently, officers of the Drug Control Police (PCD) detected the cargo and upon deep inspection they managed to confiscate 5.7 kilograms of cocaine.
