Bridge collapses in San Carlos and vehicles fall into the river

A bailey bridge collapsed and two passing vehicles fell into the river. The event happened in the sector of Santa Clara, in San Carlos at 5:06 on Wednesday afternoon.

The bridge connects Santa Clara with Bajo Rodríguez. According to the Fire Department, the driver of the vehicle was already rescued and at that moment the pick-up truck was being removed.

Therefore, the road is completely closed and users are suggested to use the Santa Rita road, which will take them to Bajo Los Rodríguez sector.
