Labor Minister: the country has the highest unemployment rate of the last nine years

Minister of Labor Steven Núñez does not hide the reality of the country and admits unemployment is one of its main problems.

On May 1st, Núñez acknowledged that they are looking for ways to deal with the highest unemployment rate in the country since 2010.

Currently, unemployment is at 12% and according to the National Youth Survey of 2018, about one million people between 15 and 35 years do not perform paid work.
