American tried to bring a liter of marijuana oil to the country

August 21, 2019 by Staff News Writer

An American citizen was arrested at the Juan SantamarĂa airport as he brought a liter of marijuana oil in his luggage. The information was confirmed by Michael Soto, Minister of Public Security.

The man also brought 600 pipettes used for smoking and 50 electronic cigarettes.

The Drug Control Police (PCD ) detected the plastic container and confiscated. According to Soto, the law establishes that, independently of the presentation, marijuana cannot be brought to the country, nor can it be transported or marketed.

In addition, Soto said they know of cases in which people intended to buy marijuana oil, but they were sold something similar instead. The minister called it a “scam.”
