Narc plane exploded in Guanacaste

September 3, 2019 by Staff News Writer

A video captured the moment when a plane, apparently loaded with cocaine, crashes and explodes, rising in flames. The incident occurred on Monday in the Nandayure sector. A person from the community approached the farm where the aircraft precipitated and managed to document the seconds before the accident.

As a result of the accident, two people died burned. Their identity is unknown at the moment; however, it is presumed that they could be Mexican.

Four other men died after the overturning of a vehicle in which they escaped from personnel of the National Coast Guard.

The Security Minister indicated that one of the theories indicates that the plane arrived in the country with the drug; however, before being unloaded the suspects realized that there were police nearby, so they tried to fly again without the necessary security measures.

The Judicial Investigation Agency now carries out the respective procedures to determine what were the factors that intervened in the event.
