This is not an ordinary X-ray machine, this one gives hope to the families of children hospitalized in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the National Children’s Hospital.

This week, Teletón delivered a portable and digital X-ray machine, which will serve children in their beds.

According to Olga Arguedas, director of the medical center, this device allows to see X-ray images on a computer screen placed beside the bed.

This will allow us to change, in seconds or minutes, the measures taken to save lives,”

said Dr. Arguedas.

For full operation, the machine was delivered with 5 computers, 5 vehicles for transportation, and 3 special monitors with accessories.

This was the fifth of six equipment deliveries made by Telethon to national hospitals, exceeding 700 million colones.
