OIJ security forces are working to catch the thieves who broke into National Bank office

August 30, 2016 by Staff News Writer

An intensive search for the thieves of the National Bank of Río Frío, where a guard and a cashier were seriously wounded, is in process.

The case is in charge of Río Frío’s law enforcement and the Judicial Investigation Organization (OIJ). Meanwhile, The Costa Rican Red Cross is taking care of bank staff involved in the situation due to emotional stress.

According to the authorities, when the employees arrived at the office they found several masked men dressed in black, and the bank vault was open. The exact amount that was stolen has not yet been determined.

Apparently, the 4 thieves fled on foot from the place.
