National Bank thieves are barricaded in Río Frío

Several of the men who attacked the National Bank branch located at Finca 6 Río Frío on Monday morning, are now barricaded in a house in the area.

Carlos Hidalgo, a spokesman for the Ministry of Public Security, confirmed that some of the subjects who stormed in the bank branch and left two men injured, would be holed up in a house Finca 5 sector.

The subjects, who fled with at least 80 million colones, are hidden in a house that is already being guarded by the security forces and judicial police. The authorities are waiting for a court order to get in and arrest the suspects.
