Travel with Air Costa Rica in October!

September 8, 2016 by Staff News Writer

Air Costa Rica will start operations in October and they are offering charter flights; the regular services are scheduled for November. As explained by them, the company started its operations in the country last year, but it was not until September 6th when the plane painting was completed.

The aircraft is a Boeing 737-300 for 148 passengers; the maintenance process was done in COOPESA hangars, at Juan Santamaría airport.

This is the first of four aircrafts that will be part of the initial fleet of Air Costa Rica: 2 Boeing 737-300 for 148 passengers and 2 Fokker 100 for 100 passengers.

The first regular destination of the airline is Guatemala. Air Costa Rica obtained permits to offer charter flights (hired by travel agencies).

Under this arrangement, they will travel to San Andrés and Cartagena, both in Colombia; Roatán, Honduras and Punta Cana, in Dominican Republic.

At the moment the company counts on 60 employees and it intends to provide more than 100 direct jobs in the future.
