In the Metropolitan Area they can take care of reported traffic lights within 24 hours. However, in rural areas it could be a little longer because of the distance.

The options for the reports are as follow:

Fill an online report in the the website www.mopt.go.cr, top menu “Servicios-Reporte  de Semáforos.

Report the malfunction through social networks such as Facebook Semáforos de Costa Rica; Twitter Semáforos CR; Skype Semáforos CR or send an email to semaforoscr@gmail.com.

It also can be  reported by  calling toll-free to:  800-SEMAFORO (800-7362-3676), 911 and 2255-3425 from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm from Monday to Friday.
