57 families were evacuated in “Aguantafilo” in Hatillo. The operation ended with the seizure of three fragmentation grenades and 9mm weapon ammunition.

The operation was carried out by several authorities such as the Public Force and the Municipal Police.

We were ready for another kind of situation, but fortunately citizens helped us. Only one person was arrested for a minor altercation. At this time, the MOPT is demolishing shacks to return the public space,

declared Marcelo Solano, director of the Municipal Police.

The security forces found and defused the grenades inside one out of the 57 evacuated shacks. No arrests were reported by this fact.
