In October, a sloth was rescued in Simón Bolívar Park, after apparently falling from its mother and being abandoned in the place.

The small animal was already located in a marshy area of the zoo.

According to Melissa Salas, assistant of Fundación Administradora from the Park (FUNDAZOOO), it hasn’t received a name yet, because they haven’t found out if it is a male or female.

It is estimated that the animal is 2 or 3 months old and it is not hurt. In the zoo there are about 400 animals.

In addition, officers from the Public Force rescued a monkey that apparently lost his mother in an accident.
