A Costa Rican girl in the Paralympic Games

September 14, 2016 by Staff News Writer

Camila Haase made history in Costa Rica: she became the first woman to compete in the Paralympic Games.

Her first debut was better than expected: the 16-year-old lady qualified to the final of the 100-meter breaststroke competition in Río.

This is a great achievement to Haase, because her great challenge is not the 100-meter breaststroke competition, but the backstroke category.

Camila will compete at 3:00 pm and she intends to win a medal.
