November 8, 2017 by Staff News Writer

Emilia Navas, Attorney General ai, filed two complaints against the suspended Attorney General, Jorge Chavarría, because he dismissed two cases against Celso Gamboa in 2014, which were filed against him when he held the position of Minister of Security in this administration.

According to Navas, Chavarría had to refrain from knowing the causes because of the intimate friendship he has with Gamboa, whom he claims to love as a son.

Jorge Chavarría was suspended from his position for three months before the dismissal and questions about the cementazo.

The suspended Attorney General was also in charge of the investigation against legislator Víctor Morales Zapata and Otto Guevara for the alleged crime of influence peddling.
