September 5, 2017 by Staff News Writer

On Tuesday, the Prosecutor’s Office of Santa Cruz conducted a raid in the Municipality of Carrillo, Guanacaste, as part of the investigation against two officials for the alleged substraction of 100 million colones.

According to the Press Office of the Public Ministry, the operation is related to case 17-000187-0412-PE, against two men, Obando and Briceño.

These subjects are members of the Solidarist Association of Employees of the Municipality and, apparently, without the authorization of the other members of the Board of Directors, approved loans to manage to remove an approximate 100 million colones that belong to the association.

The idea is to collect evidence to advance the investigation, which is processed for the crime of fraudulent administration.
