August 12, 2016 by Staff News Writer

On August 20th, Bonuska Fest 2016 will be held. Funds will directly go to Costa Rican Association of Cystic Fibrosis (ACOFIQUI).

Cystic Fibrosis (CF) is an inherited disease that affects respiratory and digestive systems. At the moment there is no cure but CF can be controlled with proper treatment.

ACOFIQUI is responsible for collaborating with health care equipment and medicines that are provided to the National Children’s Hospital (HNN).

The festival will offer 10 hours of live music. It is organized by Bonuska producer, that focuses on highlighting local talent. The activity will be held in honor of Nicole Badilla, a 14-year-old girl who fought the disease until she lost the battle.

It is planned to start at 2 pm and end at midnight. There will be a merchandise groups fair, as well as several shops and companies involved.

The activity will be held in Naranjo, in Olis bar. The pre-sale ticket costs 4,000 colones and it costs 5,000 colones the day of the event.
