Chavista youth interrupt legislature to call for end of violence in Venezuela

February 20, 2014 by Staff News Writer

Protest before the legisture

On Wednesday, a group of supporters for the regime of Nicolas Maduro and Hugo Chavez interrupted a press conference organized by the youth of the National Liberation party, Libertarian Movement and the Social Christian Unity. The group carried banners and spoke out against violent repression in Venezuela.

The situation got out of control when Juan Miguel Villalobos, son of Deputy Mireya Zamora and legislative aide, had a confrontation with Pablo Morales, member of the Broad Front and Professor of History at the University of Costa Rica.

Legislative security cleared the Congress of visitors in order to end the demonstration.
