Chikungunya will bring together experts from the region

April 24, 2017 by Staff News Writer

During the first week of May, zika and chikungunya will bring together experts from the region.

San José will become the Pan American rheumatology capital, thanks to an event organized by the Pan American League of Rheumatology Associations (PANLAR) and the Costa Rican Association of Rheumatology (ACCAR).

The event will be held from May 3rd to May 10th and will be attended by specialists from more than 12 countries, who will discuss topics of interest to rheumatologists.

Among the topics that stand out, there are zika and chikungunya and their evolution in the countries, as well as their effects on patients.

The goal is to prepare a document by PANLAR on this subject by the end of the year.
