Cold front will stay until Wednesday

January 11, 2017 by Staff News Writer

The National Meteorological Institute (IMN) reported that the conditions of the cold front that affects the country will remain until Wednesday morning.

The front is going to continue today and it will begin to move away tomorrow. However, conditions will be improving gradually, and the gusts are not as strong,”

said Juan Diego Naranjo, meteorologist.

Regarding the rains, Naranjo said they have prevailed mostly in the Northern Zone and the Caribbean, where there have been flooding too.

Although Costa Ricans have felt a couple of cold days, the temperatures oscillate between 16 and 17 degrees and the thermal sensation is due to the strong winds.
