CONAVI will restore Poás-Grecia road

January 20, 2017 by Staff News Writer

The National Road Council (CONAVI) committed to restore the route connecting Grecia and Poás, which is in poor condition and forced residents from both places to demonstrate at the Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MOPT) .

According to Harold Salazar, from the demonstrating committee, after meeting officials from both state institutions, they reached an agreement, and CONAVI committed to start the restoration works from April 5th to April 12th.

Although they trust CONAVI, the committee asked for the creation of a commission that will follow up the work.

This commission will be composed of MOPT and CONAVI officials, the presidents of the Municipal Councils from Grecia and Poás, two legislators from the area and two representatives of the town.

The work will cost about 270 million dollars.
