Costa Rica: a country to escape Trump’s victory

November 9, 2016 by Staff News Writer

After the triumph of the Republican candidate Donald Trump in the United States, many American citizens are already thinking about packing and running from the country.

Even Canada’s immigration website collapsed in the face of a flood of applications from US citizens who were already looking for places to go.

That’s why the US network CNBC recommends a number of countries for American nonconformists and Costa Rica is in the Top 5, along with Mexico, Panama, Ecuador and Colombia.

The country is described as follows:

Costa Rica … the very name conjures up visions of lush tropical jungles and waves breaking on long stretches of white sand beaches.

Costa Rica inspires these visions for 2 reasons. First, it’s true. Costa Rica is one of the most biologically diverse and beautiful places on earth, with the Atlantic and Pacific coasts that are part of the legend.

And second… this has been one of the most popular destinations for emigrants and owners of second homes for decades.

A place that has been very popular in the last years is Valle Central … San José, the prosperous capital of the country, also offers the rustic and rural pleasure in abundance, as well as a pleasant climate throughout the year. The Arenal region, with its 33-square-mile lake, is also becoming increasingly popular. It is three hours northwest of San José… a region of farmland, grasslands, virgin forests, and a magnificent view of the lake.
