Couple suspected of stealing bulls was arrested

A couple was apprehended “in flagrante” on Thursday morning on suspicion of stealing and transporting 15 bulls. The incident occurred in the neighborhood El Aguacate, District Nuevo Arenal in Tilarán, Guanacaste.

The driver, named Pérez, was accompanied by the other subject, named Arias.

According to the police report, the authorities received a complaint from a citizen of Cañas at dawn.

The man said he heard several vehicles in his cattle farm and then he discovered he had less bulls.

As a result, the officers conducted closures and roadblocks, allowing the capture of the couple in Tilarán.

The security forces reported that the bulls are valued at eight million, six hundred thousand colones.

The couple was taken to the Office of Flagrancy of Liberia, while the authorities confiscated the bulls and the truck.
