Cuevadeluz produces its own energy

May 6, 2018 by Staff News Writer

Since April 19th, Cuevadeluz produces its own energy in La Carpio, thanks to a solar project that was officially inaugurated this weekend.

The Artistic Training System for Social Inclusion (SIFAIS) is a non-profit organization that encourages -through Cuevadeluz- the personal realization of children, youth and adults in an artistic and educational way.

This project was achieved thanks to the support of the Costa Rica-United States Foundation for Cooperation (CRUSA), which funded 100% of the project. CRUSA provides support by investing in innovation that drives initiatives that seek the development of a nation of peace, prosperity, a fair and inclusive nation that’s sustainable and resilient.

With this, SIFAIS became the 100th project of Yuxta Energy. In the course of seven years, SIFAIS has had the support of more than 400 volunteers and this has generated a positive impact on more than 800 families. The savings generated in the electricity bill will help to continue investing in the different activities that are offered in Cuevadeluz.
