Do you pay an alimony? This information is for you!

January 13, 2017 by Staff News Writer

If you pay alimony for a minor, please remember that you have until January 15th to pay the school monthly payment. Eslava Hernández, specialist in family law at BG&A, confirmed the information. The amount to be paid is defined by a judge.

Hernández informed that those parents who do not have a defined alimony, a court will provide them a formula, so they can know how much each party must pay.

On January 20th, all employees in the public sector will receive the school monthly payment. This is a benefit in force since 1994, when it was established for both the public and private sectors. However in 2001 and before the fiscal situation, former president Miguel Ángel Rodríguez eliminated the benefit for private workers.
