January 3, 2017 by Staff News Writer

Officers of the security forces and the Operational Support Group (GAO) intervened a bunker located in El Infiernillo in Alajuela on Tuesday.

There, a millionaire shipment of drugs was seized and a strong sum of money from the illegal business.

This was confirmed by Juan José Andrade, Deputy Minister of Security, who specified that the officers confiscated 2,821 doses of crack, 51 doses of marijuana and 28 grams of crack cocaine paste.

In addition, the authorities of the Ministry of Public Security seized 1 million 226 thousand colones from the drug traffickers.

At the time of entry there were no subjects in the place. The managers of the bunker would have fled when noticing the police presence but an operative is being conducted in the area to find them.

We are hitting the drug outlets, seeking to dismantle the structures of local sale and distribution of drugs, for which we invite citizens to report such activities to 9-1-1 ,”

said the deputy minister.
