Drug dealing operations in La Guácima were dismantled

April 21, 2017 by Staff News Writer

Officials of the Drug Control Police (PCD) dismantled drug dealing operations in two schools, the church and a health center located in La Guácima, Alajuela province.

As a result of the anti-drug operation, the PCD arrested a man surnamed Arias, who is known by the alias “Sandro”, 30, and with a history of violation of the Psychotropic Law, and a woman surnamed Araya, 19, with no record.

The PCD received six complaints in its confidential, toll free line (1176). Thus, on January 13th this year they started with the surveys that led them to raid two targets on Thursday, one in Las Vueltas and another in Rincón Chiquito de La Guácima.

Apparently, residents of the community said that alleged robbery and riot over the sale of drugs was reported in the sector.

PCD agents seized 18 doses of crack, 15 doses of marijuana, six doses of cocaine and three thousand colones in cash. In the case of the drug, it was ready for sale, while the money was obtained as a result of that activity.
