September 9, 2016 by Staff News Writer

Drug seizures in Puntarenas increased almost 100% compared to the same period last year.

From January to June, 2015 92 kilos of drugs were seized just in that province. However, during the same period this year, 190 kilos were seized, according to a report published by the Section of Analysis and Statistics of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS).

Patrolling, preventive tours and addressing suspects have allowed us to return public spaces to the public and to reduce crimes. We are also taking guns and drugs off the streets,”
