Foreigner died in aquatic accident in Garabito

A foreigner died on Monday afternoon during an aquatic accident that occurred on Claritas beach in Garabito.

Paramedics from the Red Cross rescued the man, who apparently is an American national. He was transferred to the local clinic, but died minutes later due to a cardiac arrest.

The identity of the victim is unknown. The case is in the hands of the Judicial Investigation Agency (OIJ).
