Franklin Chang: “nostalgia struck today. A dream came true 31 years ago”

It’s been 31 years since Dr. Fanklin Chang Díaz made his first space trip with the STS-61-C mission.

The first Costa Rican who was part of NASA made 7 trips and his first mission took place from January 12th to January 18th, 1986.

At that time, Chang and his colleagues were responsible for deploying the SATCOM KU satellite.

Nostalgia struck today, a dream came true 31 years ago,

declared the astronaut on his Twitter account.

He is also member of the NASA Hall of Fame. In addition, the US embassy recalled the work of the Costa Rican who led experiments in astrophysics and materials.

Chang retired from NASA in 2005 and he currently runs Ad Astra company.
