Hooded men assaulted tourists traveling to Tortuguero

German and English tourists had a terrible time on Sunday when they were victims of an assault while traveling on a bus to the Tortuguero National Park.

According to the Ministry of Public Security (MSP), the incident was dealt with 11:20 am at a point known as La Platina, on the way to the La Pavona sector, where a tourist bus was approached by hooded and armed individuals, who stole several belongings from them.

The Public Force arrived at the site after 7 minutes, as it was doing an operation to protect tourism in the area. The authorities maintain a checkpoint at the exit of the place, as well as a tracking in the area, to catch the subjects who disappeared in banana plantations.
The bus belongs to the company Aventuras and was headed to the hotel Baula Lodge in Tortuguero.
