In 10 months police confiscated ¢2 billion in cash from drug gangs

In just 10 months, the Drug Control Police (PCD) seized more than ¢2 billion in cash from drug gangs, according to the Ministry of Public Security.

In a press release, they reported that the economic blow to these organizations was: ¢96,295,860.00, $3,480,736.00 and 67,595.00 euros. In addition, 50 vehicles were also confiscated.

The report states that, according to the police, 10.4 organizations were disarticulated per month. Of which 20 are linked to international drug trafficking and 74 to local trafficking. The latter has 30 cases of drug families.

In addition to money and vehicles, the police seized 36 firearms.

In terms of quantities of drugs seized, we got 11,103.66 kilograms of cocaine, 157,110 crack doses, 7 kilos of heroin, 3,512,37 marijuana stings, 3,267 doses of “K2” and “Spice” that were seized in 10 months. Also 469 marijuana plants, 7 doses of LSD, 930 doses of MDMA (ecstasy) and 293 doses of ketamine.
