Investigation on questionable van intervention

October 13, 2016 by Staff News Writer

The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) is investigating law enforcement officers who intervened a seemingly irregularly van with commercial goods in Hatillo.

The complaint came at the hands of the Public Force during Tuesday morning.

Juan José Andrade, director of the Public Force, ordered a disciplinary investigation. The man also ordered the patrol used by the officers to be sealed.

Apparently, the police officers gagged the driver of the van and tried to mobilize the vehicle to Los Guido in Desamparados. However, due to a mechanical failure they left the van on the road with the driver inside.

We do not want corrupt police officers or officers who deviate from their work,”

said Andrade.
