Italian arrested with 65 cocaine capsules in his stomach

An Italian man named Righini, 48, was arrested at the Juan Santamaría airport with 65 capsules with cocaine in his stomach, according to the Ministry of Public Security.

The agents observed the foreigner with a suspicious attitude while passing the different controls of the air terminal. When the officers approached him they noticed symptoms of endangered health, so immediately they transferred him to a medical center to perform different tests.

After several radiological tests, they observed several foreign bodies in his abdomen, and later he underwent surgery to remove them.

Once the doctors were able to extract these items, PCD officials confirmed that they capsules with cocaine. In total, 542 grams of cocaine were inside the man,”

said the authorities in a press release.
