Keep donating blood!

July 4, 2017 by Staff News Writer

There are no excuses. Next week, authorities will organize a new day of blood donation in Heredia.

If you are between 18 and 65 years old, you can go to Plaza Bratsi on July 11th, starting at 8:30 a.m. “Donating Blood is Donating Life” is the name of the activity organized by the Blood Bank together with Rosabal Shop and Plaza Bratsi.

The objective is to supply the hospitals with this vital liquid that is used to make transfusions to patients who need it.

Who can help?

• People between 18 and 65 years old.
• People who weigh more than 50 kilos and measure more than 1.50 meters.
• They must also carry an identity or residence card.
• People in good health conditions.
• They must eat a light breakfast before donating.

Donors will receive a voluntary donor card with their blood type, valid for six months. The activity is completely free and a single donation can save the lives of up to four people.
