The exhibition is called Imaginario and you can admire it from Tuesdays to Sundays from 9 am to 4 pm. It is free.

Rafael Fernández has won Aquileo Echeverría National Award 3 times (in 1968, 1972 and 1975), Santiago Prize in Madrid (1985) and Magón Prize (2002).

In more than six decades of experience, Rafa Fernández’ works have been presented in several countries and they are even part of museums in Costa Rica Spain, Italy, Ecuador, Colombia, Japan and the United States.

It honors us to see that such talents artists allow Cartago citizens to appreciate their works as part of the legacy of the culture of our country, through the magic realism that invites us to rediscover the Costa Rican art,

declared Rolando Rodríguez, mayor of Cartago.

The works will be shown until December 18th.
