September 6, 2016 by Staff News Writer

Officers of the security forces found a laboratory for hydroponic marijuana in the home of a subject who evaded 600,000 colones in child support payments.

The discovery was made on Monday in the community of Tres Marías in Bajo Pilas de Naranjo, Alajuela. The man’s last name is Cubero.

As reported by the Ministry of Public Security, when officers arrived at the house, Cubero ran with something in his hands, the police followed him and found the drug lab.

The officers seized 34 marijuana hydroponics plants.

The man is now arrested by the Public Ministry, which now will open a cause for possible violation of the Law on Psychotropic Substances.
