Meet Koa, the new canine agent of the OIJ

After more than seven thousand votes of the citizenship, the new member of the Canine Unit of the Judicial Investigation Agency (OIJ) already has a name: Koa.

This name means “brave without fear” and was the preferred name that obtained more than four thousand votes in the social networks of the judicial police.

Alejandro Castillo and Gustavo Núñez, from the K-9 Unit, thanked the participation of the citizens. In addition, they explained that these agents respond to the chosen name and the voice of the agents who work with them.

All the names in this are unique and none is repeated.

Additionally, the OIJ also presented Daina, a dog that was abandoned in the vicinity of the Forensic Medical Complex and was adopted by the Unit.

The agents discovered that it has characteristics to be an agent and is already being trained in the search for hydrocarbons, and arson.
