Monseñor Sanabria Hospital needs blood donors

The blood bank from Monseñor Sanabria Hospital in Puntarenas, needs blood donors to help various patients who require medical and surgical treatments.

All donors, regardless of their blood type, will be received in the blood bank that is adjacent to the Emergency Service.

The requirements to donate blood are:

Updated identity card.
Being between 18 and 65 years old.
Weighting more than 50 kilos.
No alcohol intake the day before.
Not having the flu.
Having a light breakfast, low in fat.
Having good health conditions, in general.

People with tattoos can donate, provided that the piece is more than one year old. If you are hypertensive but well controlled, you can also donate blood.

The blood bank of this medical center is opened every single day from 7 to 11 am, even on holidays. For more information, you can call the numbers 2630-8045 or 2630-8000 extension 1074.

You can save up to four lives with just 6% of your blood (500 mililiters) and 45 minutes of your time.
