National Geographic highlights Costa Rica’s natural beauty

On March 24th, National Geographic presented a series of six episodes called “Wild Costa Rica” that will show the nature, flora and fauna of the country.

Through the eyes of renowned wildlife photographer and filmmaker Felipe DeAndrade, viewers can tour sites such as the Corcovado National Park, the Biological Reserve, Isla del Caño, Santa Rosa National Park and Isla del Coco.

According to DeAndrade, Costa Rica was selected as a destination for the program, for its ecological beauty, commitment to environmental conservation, as well as the pride that Costa Ricans feel in their natural resources.

The episodes will show the struggle of baby sea turtles for surviving predators, the impact of Olive Ridley sea turtles on the behavior of t jaguars, the mating season of tree frogs, the hunting of reef sharks and the fight for the survival of the hummingbird.

The episodes will be aired every Sunday at 5 pm on the National Geographic channel.
