New police station in Liberia

In Liberia, there is a new police station fully equipped with furniture and technological devices. The new building will house 195 officers of Liberia Armed Forces.

The new police station has green spaces, parking lots, rooms, cells, offices and a kitchen. It was an investment of 1.9 million dollars.

President Luis Guillermo Solis Rivera, first lady Mercedes PeƱas, the ministers of Public Security and Justice and Peace as well as law enforcement authorities and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) were at its opening.

This is one of the 11 police stations built by the Ministry of Public Security with the support of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) to finance the Program for the Prevention of Violence and Promotion of Social Inclusion.
