Nicaraguan walked through Guanacaste with two AK-47s

Officers of the Public Force arrested a 34-year-old man named Martínez, who was traveling through the community of Cuajiniquil, La Cruz, in Guanacaste, with two AK-47s, ammunition, and a gun.

The arrest was made in Playa Copal, when the officers carried out a patrol and spotted the man, who tried to flee, but was apprehended by the authorities.

The suspect was transferred to the Public Prosecutor’s Office and the weapons will be destroyed, explained the officials from the Ministry of Public Security.
