Oil prices had a slight increase

February 6, 2017 by Staff News Writer

Oil price had a slight rise in markets. It was pushed by the growing tension between the United States and Iran.

The light sweet crude (WTI) rose 29 cents to reach $ 53.83.

In London, the Brent barrel price earned 25 cents to reach $ 56.81.

According to analysts, the market paid attention to the United States, which is imposing new sanctions on Iran for its ballistic missile program: he country carried out a test that angered President Donald Trump’s administration.

However, Trump has avoided making any suggestion of breaking the historic 2015 agreement that signed several powers with Iran, which allowed that country to return to the oil market because the sanctions it received for its nuclear program had ceased.
