Patients with cancer won’t have to make a line at México Hospital anymore!

January 6, 2017 by Staff News Writer

Patients with cancer at México Hospital witnessed extreme changes in the waiting room of the oncology service. One of them is that they don’t longer have to stand in line at the outpatient clinic.

A single reception would allow greater agility in the care for patients from Oncology, Palliative Medicine, Oncologic Surgery, Radiotherapy and Breast Unit. The system would reduce up to two hours the time patients had to wait to be called to the consultation.

Another major change was shown in infrastructure, as authorities were able to remodel the waiting area thanks to the results of #Moviembre campaign, promoted by a national beer brand.

It now has stretchers and wheelchairs, the attention office was improved and the bathrooms were renovated.

Changes are expected to benefit more than 600 people, including patients and families.
