Piza confirmed his presidential candidacy

December 6, 2016 by Staff News Writer

On December 5th, secretary general of Unidad Social Cristiana Party (PUSC) Rodolfo Piza confirmed that he will nominate his name as presidential candidate.

Rodolfo Piza explained that he will not leave his position on the PUSC Executive Committee because he has pending tasks to complete; he also confirmed that his chief of campaign will be lawmaker Johnny Leiva.

The secretary General of PUSC will face lawmaker Rafael Ortiz to be the party presidential candidate. This voting process will take place on the first Sunday of June 2017.

The current pre-candidate was the executive president of the Costa Rican Social Security Fund (CCSS) during the administration of Miguel Ángel Rodríguez (1998-2002) and deputy magistrate of the Constitutional Chamber.
